TJ Clarkson hit a two-run single in the third and Jack Lynch added one more run in the sixth as the Glacier Range Riders grabbed their second straight win over the Oakland Ballers 3-2 Friday at Glacier Bank Park.
A pair of singles from Kyle Ashworth and Gabe Howell set up Clarkson in the third inning as he brought both home with a single to center field to put the Range Riders (19-33 overall, 2-2 in the second half) up 2-0.
Lynch added the third run with a two-out double in the sixth to left-center, scoring Clarkson.
Luke Schafer stepped up on the mound, going six scoreless innings and striking out nine batters. The Ballers picked up five hits off Schafer.
Rayne Supple closed out the game with a one-hit ninth inning, striking out two.
Oakland (39-13, 2-2) got on the board in the seventh inning with a two-run homer from Tremayne Cobb Jr., his third of the season.
Noah Millikan started for Oakland, going seven innings and allowing three runs (two earned). He fanned seven.
The teams continue their six-game series Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and close it out Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

Kyle Ashworth went 2-for-6 and drove in a pair of runs as the Range Riders put one in the win column after an 0-2 start to the second half.
Ashworth reached on an error in the fourth inning that helped Darrel Wood and Donovan Ratfield score as the Range Riders took a 4-2 lead during a four-run inning.
After two runs early, Grant Taylor shut down the Ballers offense, going seven innings and striking out nine batters. Taylor is second in the league with 59 strikeouts, behind teammate Ty Bothwell at 68.
Jacob Hasty and Nicholas Ferazzi each threw a scoreless inning in relief.
Dylan Matsuoka went 3 2-3 innings for Oakland, allowing five runs (two earned) on five hits. He fanned one and walked four.
The Range Riders added some insurance in the seventh as Wood and Ratfield were hit by pitches with the bases loaded to make it 8-2.
Ashworth hit a two-RBI single in the eighth to extend the lead to 11-2 before Logan Beard added one more on a single to left field. Beard finished 1-for-5 with three RBIs.
