Report – Swiss Goalkeeper At Risk Of Losing Starting Berth After Catastrophic Performance In Juventus 4-3 Inter Milan Defeat

Yann Sommer is reportedly at risk of losing his starting berth at Inter Milan to Josep Martinez after an awful performance against Juventus.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Cristian Chivu considers benching the Swiss veteran after Saturday’s game.

Despite his superb form in the last two seasons, Yann Sommer is well past his prime.

Indeed, the 36-year-old was among the main culprits for Inter’s heart-wrenching 4-3 defeat in last weekend’s Derby d’Italia.

Furthermore, the former Bayern Munich goalkeeper failed to make a single save.

Though the youngster unleashed a rocket from long range, Sommer could and should have done better.
