Inter Milan could reportedly extend the contract of midfielder Davide Frattesi to ward off interest from Napoli and Atletico Madrid.
This according to Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto, via FCInterNews.
Davide Frattesi is currently a player with an uncertain future at Inter Milan.
In recent months, it has looked all but inevitable that the 25-year-old would leave Inter this summer. He had already reportedly asked for a move away in January.
Then, after the Champions League final, a falling out with then-Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi further sealed Frattesi’s fate.
However, the departure of Inzaghi to go after big money at Al-Hilal has changed things for Frattesi. The Italian international could have a more prominent role under Cristian Chivu.
Inter Could Offer Davide Frattesi A New Deal To Ward Off Napoli & Atletico Madrid Interest

Now, Inter look to be leaning more towards keeping Davide Frattesi.
That does not mean that there is no longer any transfer interest in the former Sassuolo midfielder, though. Far from it.
In fact, reigning Serie A champions Napoli have also been eyeing up a move for the 25-year-old.
Then, Atletico Madrid had also approached Inter this summer. The Nerazzurri then asked for winger Giuliano Simeone as part of the talks, which subsequently halted.
In any event, this transfer interest around Frattesi has further caused doubts for Inter.
Therefore, reports Matteo Moretto, the Nerazzurri are now ready to offer a contract extension to the Italian international.
This would lock down the midfielder’s future. And send a clear “hands off” message to other interested clubs.
