Real Madrid Willing to Pay €100M on PSG Star as Rodrygo Replacement, Report Says

After crashing out of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals and losing the Copa del Rey final, massive changes could be arriving at Real Madrid. Moreover, the Spanish side have their eyes on a Paris Saint-Germain player.

This 2024–25 season showed that Real Madrid need to switch up their attack. As a result, one player who could be on the way out is Rodrygo, since it’s unlikely that Vinícius Júnior or Kylian Mbappé will depart the Spanish capital.

Should the Brazilian leave, Real Madrid are willing to find a replacement—and they could be ready to splurge to ensure the Spanish side secure an emerging star.

Is Désiré Doué on Real Madrid’s radar?

During this Champions League knockout stage, Désiré Doué has put himself on everyone’s radar as the teenager had impressive performances against Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Not only are football fans who don’t follow PSG regularly seeing the talent that the Ligue 1 side have, so are other clubs.

Fichajes reports that Real Madrid’s directors see Doué as the ideal replacement for Rodrygo, given the possibility of the Brazilian leaving the club in the coming months.

Additionally, the report claims that the Merengues are willing to pay up to €100 million to secure his signing. While it’s a substantial figure, if PSG didn’t sell Mbappé, it’s unlikely they sell Doué, who is under contract until 2029 and just arrived this past summer.

However, if Real Madrid view Doué as a future target, their interest will persist, as the club is willing to wait to secure the signing of a player they desire.
