Alexia Putellas’s future at Barcelona seems to be in doubt, with PSG reportedly ready to make a shock bid for the club legend before the transfer window closes at the end of the week.
A new report from Mundo Deportivo states that the French side are willing to activate Alexia’s release clause and will offer a four-year deal.
The French club are also willing to offer Alexia an improved contract and are hopeful the two-time Ballon d’Or winner can be tempted to move on.
Alexia’s intention at the moment is to stay at the club, but the report does not seem to be ruling out a potential shock exit.
The feeling seems to be that Barcelona want her to stay, although they are aware this is an opportunity she made not be able to pass up.
Barcelona aren’t willing to negotiate with PSG but she still could make a shock exit if the French side activate her release clause.
Alexia signed a new two-year contract with Barcelona in 2024 that is due to expire next summer when she will be 31.
