NORTH ENGLISH — The last time Josephine Moore stepped to the plate against English Valleys, the Sigourney senior hammered a ball over the fence at Schafer Field back lifting the Savages to a 5-3 South Iowa Cedar League win back on May 27.
Just over three weeks later, Moore returned to the plate to face freshman pitcher Kaylynn Caster for the first time since the season-opening home win over the Bears. The results were eerily similar as Moore drove a 3-1 pitch over the fence in left field for a two-run home run in the opening inning of Sigourney's 9-3 league triumph over English Valleys, lifting the Savages to an 11-0 SICL record.
