Pistons Fans Go Viral With Jalen Brunson Chant During Game 6 Against Knicks

The Detroit Pistons were at home on Thursday night as they faced off against the New York Knicks in Game 6 of their first-round series.

Detroit entered the game needing a victory to keep their season alive after extending the series to Game 6 after their Game 5 victory.

Unfortunately for the Pistons, they were unable to keep their championship hopes alive after New York made a late comeback to seal a 116-113 victory after a game-winning shot by Jalen Brunson.

While Brunson broke the hearts of Pistons fans after his game-winning three-pointer with a little more than four seconds left in the game, Detroit’s crowd let him hear it earlier in the contest.

Pistons fans went viral late in the fourth quarter after starting a chant aimed at Brunson after a foul was called after he “flopped” driving to the basket.

Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff used his coach’s challenge on the play and it was deemed unsuccessful but the fans let Brunson hear it during the review.

“FLOPPER, FLOPPER, FLOPPER,” Detroit’s crowd chanted at Brunson after the play.

Of course, Pistons fans have called out Brunson the entire series due to “flopping” but it did not matter as the Knicks star point guard quieted and stunned the crowd late after his game-winning shot.

Brunson finished Thursday’s game with 40 points to go along with seven assists as he led the Knicks to a series-clinching victory.

For the Knicks, they will now advance to face the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs while the Pistons will begin their offseason earlier than they had hoped.
