Painful situation in Eindhoven: PSV sends Vitesse talents back to Arnhem

PSV wanted to sign five talented players from Vitesse during this uneasy period and had already signed 18-year-old Jim Koller to Jong PSV. However, the Arnhem side’s surprising comeback to professional football has changed the situation.

Two players have been told they must return to Arnhem, “which has led to some awkward situations,” the ED reports. “The players involved already assumed they would be working at PSV, and now the transfer is suddenly off.”

PSV claimed to have to pay between €100,000 and €200,000 for most of the players. For the two players in question, whose names have not been disclosed, PSV considered such a sum to be excessive.
