Ole Miss is set for a massive showdown with undefeated Arkansas on Saturday, and the Rebels are looking to make a big move with a top flip target in the process.
On Wednesday, four-star Ouachita Parish (La.) defensive lineman Dylan Berymon tweeted that he will visit Oxford on Saturday for the game between the Rebels and Razorbacks. Lane Kiffin and Co. extended an offer to him back in January, and he has been on campus at Ole Miss at different points in his recruitment.
He was expected to be at the Longhorns’ home game against UTEP this weekend but will instead visit their SEC rival.
Berymon committed to Texas in early June after taking an official visit to Austin that weekend. But since then, Ole Miss and a handful of other programs — including Purdue and LSU — have remained in contact with him. He is part of a loaded defensive line class at Texas that currently includes Rivals five-star James Johnson, along with four-stars Vodney Cleveland and Corey Wells.
And Berymon isn’t the only player in that group other schools are working to flip. Miami hosted Johnson for its season opener against Notre Dame, and Wells was on campus at Auburn last weekend.
The Tigers have received multiple flip picks in their favor to poach Wells, one of the Longhorns’ top commits.
As for Berymon, it remains to be seen whether the Rebels can make a strong enough move to make him reconsider his pledge. But the fact that he is choosing to visit instead of going to a previously planned visit to the Forty Acres is no small feat.
The 6-foot-1, 330-pounder is the No. 208 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. He also ranks as the country’s No. 22 defensive lineman and No. 8 player in Louisiana.
Over his past two season at the high school level, Berymon has recorded more than 65 tackles, including 15 for loss, to go along with 10 sacks.
