Nordstrom is selling a $65 pajama set for $43, and fans say it's 'soft and dreamy'

You know you have life figured out when you wear matching pajamas to bed. At least, that's how I feel whenever I put on a cozy set at night that not only looks nice but feels buttery soft. My current favorites? The Moonlight Eco Short Pajamas at Nordstrom and I'm about to buy more — the fashion retailer just slashed the price of this nighttime must-have by 35% during its big Anniversary Sale.

Why is it a good deal? 💰

This is the lowest price the Moonlight Eco Short Pajamas have been in at least six months. And very rarely do they go on sale in all colors — it's generally just the seasonal prints we see marked down. Plus, for as low as $43, you get a matching top and bottom. Think of it as about $20 a pop!

That said, the Moonlight jammies come in a few styles, some with cropped pants and some with full-length pants. All of them — yes, all! — are 35% off during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which runs through August 3.

Why do I need this? 🤔

If you've ever gone to bed in pajamas that felt itchy, too restricting or just too hot, you know how they can affect your sleep. These are soft, stretchy and lightweight, so you can get a good night's rest. They're made with a cotton modal fabric, which is smooth and super lightweight. And while they feel super soft, they also stretch and move with you, no matter if you sleep on your side, back or stomach. The shorts have a drawstring at the waist for a more custom, comfy fit, too.

Commerce Initiatives Director Jeanine Edwards is a fan of the short style. She told me the PJs keep her cool and are "nice enough to lounge around the house in even if I have company." Oh, and while the bottoms look tiny on the model, she promises that they aren't "too bootylicious."

In addition to wearing these myself, I gifted the cropped pant version to my mom for Christmas a few years back. A year later, she told me they were one of the best gifts I'd ever given her, and that they're her favorite pair of PJs.

Some felt that the collar was a bit bulky for their liking.

"Although the fabric is very nice, I have to say the collar holds a little weight," explained a Nordstrom shopper. "It’s a very mature look and it does clean me up quite a bit, but I think I’d prefer a top without a collar. But worth the purchase for the fabric as it is very lightweight and comfortable."

Others wished the PJs had pockets. "Almost perfect," wrote a reviewer. "If only there were pockets on the pants!" Said another: "These pajamas are yummy, but one flaw — no pockets."
