NFL Picks Against the Spread: Week 3 Games

Before the third Sunday of the 2025 regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for the NFL Week 3 games.

My overall record is 13-19, which is a rough start. The BGN Community is better at 17-15.

Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS at WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (-3): Being underdogs here despite the Commanders starting their backup quarterback is a bad sign for the Raiders. Las Vegas is at a significant rest disadvantage in this matchup since the Commanders last played on September 11 and the Raiders last played on September 15. PICK: Commanders -3

ATLANTA FALCONS (-4.5) at CAROLINA PANTHERS: It’s hard to put any faith in the Panthers, who seemingly still stink. Michael Penix is inspiring more confidence than Bryce Young, especially since the former is aided by his offense being able to lean on Bijan Robinson. PICK: Falcons -4.5

GREEN BAY PACKERS (-7.5) at CLEVELAND BROWNS: The Browns might be able to hang with mediocre teams but they don’t have a shot against the juggernauts. And the Packers have looked pretty strong through two games. PICK: Packers -7.5

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-1.5) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Tough one to pick. Tempted to take the home dog but I think Aaron Rodgers could have another good performance like he did in Week 1. PICK: Steelers -1.5

LOS ANGELES RAMS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-3.5): The Eagles simply don’t lose when Jalen Hurts starts and finishes the game. The Rams might still cover in a loss but I’m not picking against the Birds here. PICK: Eagles -3.5

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (-5.5) at TENNESSEE TITANS: The Colts haven’t even needed to punt through two games. That offense is hot right now and there’s no reason to believe the talent-deficient Titans are equipped to stop it. PICK: Colts -5.5

NEW YORK JETS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-6.5): The Bucs are banged up but it doesn’t seem to matter. That team has a lot of fight. Not counting on a big day from the Tyrod Taylor-led Jets. PICK: Buccaneers -6.5

CINCINNATI BENGALS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS (-3): Carson Wentz can be a turnover machine and Jake Browning can actually play a little. PICK: Bengals +3

HOUSTON TEXANS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (-1.5): I’m fading Trevor Lawrence against a Texans team that will be more desperate to win. PICK: Texans +1.5

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-7.5): The Saints have looked more respectable than they’ve had any business being through two weeks. But if the Seahawks can go into Pittsburgh and win decisively, they’ll be able to beat the Saints soundly at home. PICK: Seahawks -7.5

DENVER BRONCOS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (-3): Justin Herbert’s been hot: 5 TD, 0 INT, 127.8 passer rating. Not betting against him right now. Bo Nix has been inconsistent. PICK: Chargers -3

ARIZONA CARDINALS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-1.5): I’d normally regret putting faith in Jonathan Gannon. But we’ve seen him have success against lesser quarterbacks. PICK: Cardinals +1.5

DALLAS COWBOYS (-1.5) at CHICAGO BEARS: This is a fishy line considering how bad the Bears have looked. Caleb Williams looks terrible and I’m convinced he’s going to be benched in favor of Tyson Bagent at some point. Chicago could have a chance to win if that happens in this game, which I don’t think it will. The Cowboys are a lock. PICK: Cowboys -1.5

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-5.5) at NEW YORK GIANTS: The Giants will cover in a loss. PICK: Giants +5.5

DETROIT LIONS at BALTIMORE RAVENS (-5.5): The Lions will put up a good fight in a loss. PICK: Lions +5.5
