NEBRASKA FOOTBALL Halftime Recap (And 2nd Half Game Thread) – HUSKERS 17 Michigan 17

The game is far from over, but things are already very different.

It was looking like “here we go again” for a while. A 70 yard drive which netted no points. An ill-advised toss for an interception. 10 unanswered Michigan points. The Huskers were down 10-0 and it felt the game could be a few plays from “this is getting out of hand”.

But then a fumble recovery turned into three points and a 20-yard Jacory Barney punt return and 63-yard TD drive brought the game even. Here we go, yes?

Whoops, one play later, Justice Haynes blew through a giant gap in the Huskers defense for 75 yards and a 17-10 lead. The Huskers appeared to stall around midfield and it looked like they were letting the clock run out then Rhule called a time out.

Hail Mary time.

Michigan tried a stunt from the left side but Dylan was drifting right. He loaded up and let fly about 60 yards into the crowd in the end zone.

And Jacory Barney who had caught the 26-yard TD pass to tie it, came down with this 52-yarder to tie it again.

At halftime, the Huskers are tied 17-17 with the Wolverines and their fight back was joined with a dose of something almost extinct in the last decade.

A piece of luck - see you in the second half.
