Mossad chief: Israeli intelligence to remain active in Iran post-war

Mossad chief David Barnea said on Wednesday that Israel's foreign intelligence service will continue operating inside Iran even after the war ends.

In a rare video appearance, addressed Mossad agents. "We will be there, just as we have been there until now," he said, referring to operations on Iranian soil.

Barnea credited Mossad's actions with helping Israel achieve wartime objectives that "previously seemed unrealistic."

He added that Israel is now "a safer, stronger state, prepared for the future." He also extended his gratitude to "our partner, the CIA, for the joint activities."

Barnea also said: "I would like to tell you it's finished, but we must not forget that there are still 50 hostages in the Gaza Strip - 30 dead bodies and 20 kidnapped alive - and it is our moral duty to bring them back."

The large-scale Israeli strikes on Iran were reportedly coordinated by Mossad, with support from operatives embedded deep within Iranian territory.

These agents are said to have deployed and operated precision weapons and drones from inside the country, targeting air defense systems and missile silos in central Iran.

During the conflict, Iranian authorities carried out a wave of arrests, detaining several individuals accused of spying for Mossad.
