Macy's is selling $120 sandals for just $48, and fans say they're 'so comfortable'

Slide sandals are an absolute must in your summer shoe line-up. Not only can you step into a pair in no time and get out the door in flash, but unlike athletic sneakers or fancy heels, attractive slip-ons look good with pretty much everything in your wardrobe. I was on the hunt for a good-looking pair last month after a close friend commented about how ugly and decidedly not-stylish my beloved Birkenstock Arizonas were. After some searching, I narrowed in on these Sam Edelman Rowan slides. I liked them a lot, but didn't want to pay over $100 for them. So when they went on sale for $70, I snagged them thinking I was getting an amazing deal. Only now, they're down to just $48 — that's 60% off, FYI! — at Macy's.

Why is this a good deal? 💰

I said it last week about these gorgeous Michael Kors sandals, and I'll say it again: Price drops like these on summer footwear at the start of the season are quite rare. Normally, you'd have to wait until Labor Day sales to snag sandals for more than 50% off.

Because I've been stalking these sandals for a while, I know for a fact that this price at Macy's is the lowest out there. Zappos is selling the exact same style for $73 and Bloomingdale's has them marked down to $72. Ladies, I'm telling you now, this is a deal you don't want to miss.

Why do I need this? 🤔

Because I now own these sandals, I can tell you without question they're 100% worth adding to your shoe collection. I've only owned them for a few weeks, but every time it's been warm this year, this is the shoe I reach for. The sole has nice arch support and I find it to be softer and more comfy than the cork soles on Birkenstocks. I wore these sandals to walk around Soho and at no point did I experience any pain, discomfort or desire to kick them off. They felt great on my feet for hours.

More importantly, though, as someone who lives in an apartment that's low on storage space, I really appreciate that this is a summer shoe I can wear with lots of different outfits. So far, I've worn these good-looking slides with a maxi dress, a midi skirt, jeans, denim shorts and linen pants. Unless I'm heading to a super formal wedding (which I'm not anytime soon), there's basically nowhere I go that I can't wear these shoes.

I decided to purchase the white leather style because I wanted something that would complement different colors, but the gold that's on sale at Macy's is just as versatile. And yes, it's worth noting here that the upper straps on these sandals are actual leather... for less than $50, people!

"I love the sandals. They are versatile and comfortable, although the top strap can rub a bit on the top of your foot. All in all, an excellent purchase," someone explained.

"Very cute and stylish sandals! I wanted a sandal I can wear with anything: shorts, jeans, dresses, wide leg pants — these are it! A nice, comfortable footbed, too. They do fit a half-size big, but not an issue. They don't rub into my feet at all, comfortable as soon as I put them on!" another commented.

I will say, I agree with the last critique. I usually wear a 9 in shoes, but the 8.5 fits me best in this style.
