That’s the news. House is the son of NBA vagabond Eddie House and currently attends Compass Prep in Arizona. House told Rivals “I chose Xavier because it felt like home and I trust the whole coaching staff with helping me get to the next level and be the best version of myself on and off the court. Every coach on the staff is experienced with years of coaching and winning at an elite level.”
House is a 6-3 point guard who is ranked 105th in the nation and 15th at his position. Jaelen House, his brother, played for Coach Pitino in New Mexico. Kalek turned down offers from Oklahoma St, Michigan, Creighton and others to choose Xavier.
Xavier is getting a guy known primarily for his defensive ability and for being a solid three point shooter. As you’d expect with a point guard, he facilitates play reasonably well. His strength, though, lies in what he can do behind the arc and on defense. He’s still got a year of play to go before he lands at Xavier, but he already fills out 6-3 reasonably well. One player down, so many more to go.
