Jets starter Justin Fields heads to locker room in Week 2 with possible concussion

New York Jets starting quarterback Justin Fields left the team's Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills early due to a possible concussion. Fields was evaluated on the sideline before walking to the locker room with the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant, per reports.

Once Tyrod Taylor entered the game, the Jets confirmed Fields was being evaluated for a possible concussion.

It was a frustrating game for Fields prior to the possible injury. The 26-year-old was just 3-for-11 for 27 yards when he left the game. Fields was more successful on the ground, where he gained 49 yards on five scrambles. Fields, however, did lose a fumble in the contest.
