These 4th of July sales bring explosive discounts on tried-and-true favorites from the likes of Maybelline, Laura Geller, Embryolisse, Medicube and more. (Amazon)
I've been a professional shopper for 25+ years, so hear me when I say (can you see?!): the best 4th of July sales include some truly stellar finds. As a beauty editor, my daily focus is to find and test quality makeup, skin care and hair products and, while digging through the plethora of holiday deals, I was thrilled to see my all-time favorites on serious sale. I'm no gatekeeper and, in fact, I consider it my patriotic duty to share deep discounts on the best-in-class products I use myself, especially the smattering of anti-aging lotions and potions that actually work.
Let me be clear: I don't expect any beauty product — discounted for July 4 or not — to turn back the clock on my face or hair. That's a (bankrupt) fool's errand. But I do try hundreds of items each year and, over time, I've identified the worth-it hair tools, ultra-hydrating creams, wrinkle-minimizing serums and de-puffing eye masks that soothe my parched summer skin.
Most of the gems below are clinically proven or, at the very least, wildly well-reviewed.
The best 4th of July beauty sales
After testing dozens of mascaras earlier this year, I named Maybelline's Lash Sensational the best mascara of 2025, and it's nearly 40% off for the 4th of July. The no-smudge, zero-flake formula lengthens and thickens lashes without being a hassle to apply (I did not have to remove globs from the applicator brush once in the last month — a first).
In addition to having this beauty editor's vote, more than 80,000 five-star reviewers rave about it on Amazon, all stating something along the lines of, "10/10 would recommend, I've ordered this six times now ... it's the best mascara I've ever used." Truly, it's that good.
I fell in love with this tinted balm the moment I held it to my lips. It's made with hyaluronic acid, a natural moisturizer and skin plumper, and it left my mouth not only an ideal burnt berry shade, but smoother, more supple and younger-looking.
While this hue is not an exact 1:1 replacement for Clinique's iconic Black Honey lipstick, it's super close. And the addition of sun protection and natural emollients like castor oil make it a worthy foil.
There are myriad uses for this wildly well-reviewed, internet-famous skin care oil, but I like it best for treating the body, not the face. It's amazing on calves and thighs as an after-shave oil and as an emollient for cracked heels and dry elbows. It's too oily (for me) for my face or as a scalp treatment, but a little goes a long way to tame flyaways. Also, if it's good enough for future queen Kate Middleton, surely it's good enough for peasants like me.
These award-winning, Hollywood starlet-approved, No. 1 bestselling eye masks incorporate hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and green tea extract to hydrate the delicate under-eye area, reducing dark circles and puffy bags and blurring fine lines as they go.
Nearly 30% off, they're paraben- and sulfate-free, vegan and gentle enough for most skin types. The cute packaging makes them an excellent gift.
This user-friendly bronzing powder contains color-correcting pigments to help even out your skin while leaving you looking natural, not like you've slathered on a ton of product. The formula self-adjusts to match your skin tone, so you don't have to worry about it being too warm or too cool as long as you select your closest shade.
The product itself is actually, truly baked: The pigments are heated on terracotta tiles for 24 hours, giving them a unique consistency that offers the convenience of a powder with the coverage of a cream. They fill in pores and create a smooth finish but won't settle into fine lines.
File this silicone brush under "things you don't think you need until you try them." Regular scalp massages are one of the best and first steps you can take if you want to stimulate hair growth.
This brush, nearly 40% off, makes it easy — just apply your shampoo or hair oil and go to town in circular motions for a minute or two. Not only will you unclog pores on your scalp and improve circulation, but the whole process feels amazing.
This is what you need if you're, like, "I think tightening creams are BS but I also want to believe they are true because I currently dislike my neck." Gold Bond's firming cream is no frills but gets the job done (the job being firmer-looking, less-crepey skin). The formula is lightweight and on the thin side, but the product absorbs well and is gentle enough not to irritate sensitive skin.
Note: You'll need to use it consistently for about a month to see results, and it won't, of course, magically make you appear 25, but being able to snag this ample size for 30% off makes this product worth a go.
Martha Stewart is a lady who loves facials. In fact, according to her website, she's been getting the same one, at the same place — the Mario Badescu Spa in New York City — for 40 years. So it should come as little surprise that most all of her favorite skin care products are from the high-quality Mario Badescu line. Martha's faves include this mega popular collagen mask, which is specially formulated to work for both mature and sensitive skin. The award-winning product is made from collagen and kaolin clay and is meant to tighten, firm and bring moisture to parched faces, necks and even decolleté.

There are loads of pricey treatments and potions meant to decrease facial puffiness, promote collagen growth and improve the texture of aging skin, but the ancient art of face rolling is the easiest, least expensive and arguably the most relaxing.
This high-quality, bestselling jade roller and face massager tool set has over 27,000 five-star reviews and, right now, it's half off.
Fine or thin hair tends to tangle more than thicker 'dos, but many brushes can add to thinning or shedding by tearing and damaging the strands you have left. Enter this wildly smooth and effective brush, which is a breeze to use on wet or dry hair and gentle enough for even those of us who are balding a bit. At this sale price — 50% off! — it's also a major value.
"I have very thin hair that tangles easily. Other brushes hurt and pulled out my hair," wrote this reviewer. "This was certainly a pleasure to be able to brush my hair painlessly. I convinced my 6-year-old granddaughter to let me use it on her tangled baby-fine hair. Guess what? No tears! She hugged me and said that I was the only one she wanted to fix her hair."
My new favorite face moisturizer! For months, I kept seeing ads for this "it" cream from K-beauty brand Zen Dew, and beauty influencers across platforms could not seem to stop raving about its wrinkle-plumping, face-rejuvenating powers. However, I know from experience that just because a product works for a naturally dewy 25-year-old does not mean it will do squat for my own perimenopausal dermis. I decided to test it myself.
Well, it turns out that it's actually great. It's made with 91% snail mucin (always a skin care boon) and includes a variety of high-quality ingredients like ectoin, which is known for smoothing rough texture, and azulene, which helps calm irritation. It's also cruelty-free, paraben-free and delivered in sustainable packaging — much appreciated in an industry that creates so much waste.
If you're looking for a low-cost retinol treatment to help with dark circles and eye wrinkles, this is for you. RoC is the premier name in over-the-counter retinol, and its eye cream is highly rated, with nearly 40,000 5-star Amazon reviews. It's excellent for improving the appearance of both fine lines and dark circles, and it's dermatologist-recommended too. I only wish it contained more antioxidant, nourishing ingredients. But for this price, this cream honestly cannot be beat.
These No. 1 bestselling dual-textured facial toner pads — nearly 40% off right now — are among the top products we've found for clearing out clogged pores, evening skin tone and promoting a healthy, clean glow. Now they're available in this mild version, which is no less potent, but gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Yahoo Shopping Deputy Editor Izabella Zaydenberg is a fan. "I've bought these four times — I think it's the most I've ever repurchased any skin care product," she says. "Unfortunately, I don't think I can live without them: I ran out a few days ago and my blackheads (which these pads nearly entirely eradicated) decided to come back with a vengeance. It's no wonder they're an Amazon bestseller: Each pad gently exfoliates your skin with AHA lactic acid and BHA salicylic acid, leaving your skin truly glass-like."
This all-in-one French pharmacy skin care staple rarely goes on sale so now's the time to scoop it up. Embryolisse's extra-emollient moisturizer left my skin feeling soft and silky, like I'd bathed in a bowl of cream. Best of all, it works for any part of your body, including your face.
After testing dozens of over-the-counter options, this is the retinoid I use every night. Differin's adapalene gel was the first prescription-strength retinoid to become available over the counter. It's dermatologist-recommended and clinically proven to tighten and brighten skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines. This jumbo size rarely goes on sale — and it's currently a cool 34% off.
"I've been a Differin user for over six years at this point, and I swear by it," wrote an in-the-know user. "Most things that work as well as Differin are prescription-only. It actually works in a similar manner that some of the prescription-strength treatments do: by increasing the rate at which your skin cells turn over."
This velvety-smooth overnight cream — a No. 1 bestseller at Amazon — is more effective at smoothing and hydrating skin than brands five times its cost. It contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to restore the skin's protective barrier while giving it a brighter and plumper appearance overall. Save nearly 30% for 4th of July.
Crest Whitestrips rarely drop in price unless it's a big sales event, so even a slight savings is worth it. Brighter smile, here you come.
"I did notice after 3-4 consecutive uses a difference in the color of my teeth," said this pleased user. "They weren't so white they looked fake, but white enough for others to notice a change. They did cause a bit or gum sensitivity on my top gums, but that didn't last long or was unbearable. I definitely recommend these if you're wanting to start slow in the whitening process or your teeth don't have much discoloration."
While we're talking retinol, this Sarah Jessica Parker-favorite brand is a drugstore skin care legend for a reason: It's proven. In a clinical study, 97% of those who tried RoC's Retinol Correxion night serum reported smoother skin after just a single night. Users said their skin was 63% more hydrated after a week and visibly firmer after a month.
RoC's retinol serum is also recommended and tested by dermatologists. And, it's among Amazon’s highest-rated skin care products with more than 13,000 five-star reviews.
Meet one of the most effective beauty products I've ever tried. Honestly, I like this skin rejuvenating serum so much, if I had to pick one desert-island beauty product (outside of sunscreen), it would be this. The lactic acid treatment gently yet effectively exfoliates dull surface skin, promoting cell turnover and giving even the dullest, dreariest complexion a healthy, vibrant glow.
It also smooths and plumps rough texture and clarifies an uneven tone. My skin never looks better than when I use this every night and, while this sale price still isn't cheap, a little bit goes a long way.
If you have Amazon Prime, you'll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $35 or more.)
