I'm a pro baker turned deals hunter: These are the Prime Day kitchen deals that are making me salivate

When it comes to cooking, summer should be all about low-key meal prep; it's too hot to turn on the oven or sweat over a stovetop. Alas, the watermelon needs to be chopped, and your daily smoothie certainly isn't going to make itself. That's where these Amazon Prime Day kitchen deals come in: As Yahoo's resident professional baker turned discount hunter, I've been seeking out the most worthwhile markdowns on everything from countertop appliances to storage containers for your farmers market haul.

As is often the case with large sales events like Prime Day, not every deal is worthy of a "Yes, Chef!" Inflated prices and perpetually on-sale items can make you think you're scoring a great bargain when it just ain't so — sneaky! With that in mind, I've been tracking price histories across retailers to ensure I'm only sharing the crème de la crème with you. Alright, enough chatter — let's dig in.

The best Prime Day kitchen deals

If you spend lots of time in the kitchen, your feet deserve a cushy surface to stand on during all of that cooking (and dishwashing). This comfy foam mat can help take some of the pressure off your muscles and joints, and its nonslip bottom will stay put without sliding around. It's waterproof and easy to wipe clean, and at nearly 45% off, this is about as low as I've seen it marked down to since 2021.

A dull knife just won't cut it when it comes to efficient (and safe) slicing and dicing. If you'd rather not shell out for a whole new set of blades, you can hone the ones you already have courtesy of this nifty tool. It has four settings for sharpening and polishing just about any knife in your kitchen, aside from ceramic and serrated blades — just a few swipes, and you'll be on your way to chopping slippery tomatoes like a champ. It's only dropped lower than its current price by $1 and comes with a cut-resistant glove to protect your precious little fingies.

Intimidated by the idea of making ice cream at home? These compact cups have your name on them, and they couldn't be easier to use. Just make sure your mugs are frozen for at least 24 hours, then mix up your ice cream base (there's a recipe book included). Once your mugs are sufficiently chilled (you want them to be really cold), you'll add your base, turn 'em on and they'll start churning away. You can also add mix-ins of your choosing via the pour chutes while they're running, and in about 20 minutes, you'll have ice cream. Simple, right?

This duo rarely dips lower than this, so snag 'em for their lowest price in over a year.

Staying hydrated is important all year, but especially as the temps rise. This sought-after tumbler will quench your thirst on the go while keeping drinks cold (or warm if you're a hot-coffee-or-bust kind of person) for hours at a time.

It'll fit right in your car's cupholder, has a splash-resistant lid and, perhaps most importantly, is dishwasher safe. Plus, Yeti is one of those brands that doesn't really need to have sales, so any time you see a discount, it's wise to pounce.

Of course, if you've been curious to see what all the hype surrounding the "Stanley Cup" is about, now's a good time, seeing as this sleek beverage vessel is down to a record low.

Home & Garden Writer Kristin Granero named it the "best flip-straw water bottle" after testing a bunch, saying it "proved 100% leak-proof with the flip straw folded ... Because you can easily flip the IceFlow straw down when not in use, dirt and debris aren't as likely to get through. The foldable, flexible lid handle makes for compact packing and easy carrying, too.

"Consider it a shoo-in for commutes, weekend trips and summer campouts. It's also tween-friendly: My 10-year-old niece and her schoolmates love the 20-ounce version for hydrating between classes and recreational activities."

Prefer one with a handle? These bad boys rarely go on sale (they don't really need to), but this trending tumbler happens to be marked down to a new record low — so stock up!

It's got a built-in straw and keeps cold drinks cold for up to 11 hours (two days if they're iced). Plus, its tapered bottom will fit in your car's cup holder. Think of it as your go-to summer 2025 accessory.

Have a bit of a Starbucks obsession? It'll be more like Star-(save some)-bucks once you get a load of this powerful device, which will have you whipping up and enjoying foamy beverages in no time.

Let's be real — the appeal of a cappuccino starts dwindling the longer one waits in that chaotic a.m. line, and why shell out for something that's so easy to make at home? This gizmo is an impressive 54% off, its lowest price of 2025.

These days, many people are swapping their plastic cutting boards for ones that don't pose the risk of exposing food to potentially harmful substances. If you're looking to do the same, bamboo is an excellent alternative, and this set includes not one, not two, but three sturdy boards and a nifty holder. Because you're getting a variety of sizes, you'll be able to designate one board for meats, one for produce and another for smaller mincing tasks. Oh, and this trio rarely dips lower than its current price.

Enjoying a warm breakfast on a busy morning has never been so easy, thanks to this contraption that'll make a bacon, egg and cheese without you having to wait at the drive-through. Just fill each tray with the essentials and any toppings you'd like, and it'll cook everything so that it's nice and melty by the time you've gotten dressed. This appliance doesn't go on sale very often, so grab it while you can save a few bucks.

Smelly fridge? Yeah, not so appetizing. But this unassuming stink slayer works for up to 10 years (yes, you read that right) to keep things fresh. All you do is place it inside and, well, that's actually it. Sorry, baking soda — you've been replaced. This little doodad can also go in closets, drawers, your car ... anywhere that could use some stench removal.

This is the lowest it's been since last summer, so scoop it up while you can.

Rise and (ditch the) grind — with this brewer, just fill with water, place your K-Cup of choice inside and you've got a fresh cup in minutes. But what really sets this model apart is the fact that it has an iced coffee setting that'll be a lifesaver during those summer scorchers.

This popular perk-me-upper was purchased over 20,000 times this month and I rarely see it on sale for this low — 55% off — outside of large sales events.

Not ready to shell out hundreds for new cookware? This slick 14-piece set just about has it all: 8- and 11-inch frying pans, a 4.3-quart casserole with lid, 1.8- and 4.5-quart saucepans with lids, four pan protectors, a spatula and a mixing spoon. That's all for $66 — less than you'd pay for a single pan from many brands. This discount brings the price to an all-time low.

Only need to replace one pan? Gordon Ramsay himself says this skillet "cooks to absolute, utter perfection" — and it's not often on sale.

The hybrid design marries strong stainless steel with nonstick properties for a cooking surface that can achieve a good sear while being easy to clean. It features aluminum sandwiched between stainless steel for expert heat conduction and distribution, and thanks to the glass lid, you can keep an eye on your food while it cooks. It's only ever dipped lower than its current price by a dollar.

These kitchen essentials aren't just Amazon hits, they're also Yahoo-editor-approved. "Durable yet lightweight, the flip-style lids were easy to clean and, when locked, the set proved to be airtight," says Home & Garden Writer Kristin Granero, who named them "best food storage containers overall" after testing many brands.

She continues, "Based on our experience, the containers are also odor- and stain-resistant, so they still smell fresh and look like new after being used to store colorfully sauced foods such as marinara sauce and hot wings. Unlike some other plastic containers on the market, these containers have excellent clarity — especially helpful when you need to identify food quickly or navigate a fully stocked fridge."

This is about as low as they've been on sale for since 2023.

The best meals are the ones you can make by tossing all of the ingredients into one cooking vessel, then setting and forgetting. That's probably why these appliances are such fan favorites — and this model, with its nine functions in one, is so versatile, it just might become the most-used thing in your kitchen.

Make rice, sear chicken ... or heck, even whip up some yogurt. You'll be able to cook enough food to feed six people, so I'll be awaiting my dinner party invitation. Oh, and this 50% discount brings the price down to its lowest of 2025 — for comparison, a 3-quart version is only $13 less.

Finding just one decent knife for 30 bucks can be a challenge these days, let alone an entire collection. That's why this one — which has been slashed to its lowest price yet — is such a steal.

I got this set for my sister, who says that while "everything has been staying sharp so far," she appreciates that it "comes with a sharpening steel" and "has the knife styles I frequently need." She also prefers "a minimal aesthetic" in her kitchen and says this set is "the opposite of an eyesore."

Every kitchen needs a good pair of hand protectors, meaning the hole-filled mitts in your drawer need to go. These No. 1 bestsellers are heat-resistant up to 500°F, thanks to their silicone coating — and not only that, their ribbed design offers better grip than cloth versions.

They're water-resistant to shield your hands from hot splatters, and while prices vary between colors, you can snag 'em in gray for just $10 (their lowest price since 2023).

Soggy strawberries aren't just a waste of food, they're also a waste of hard-earned money. If you're tired of rotten produce, these handy containers are here to save the day.

Their lids have small vents, which help regulate airflow to ensure the correct amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide goes in and out. The built-in airflow filters last forever — literally, the brand says they are made to "last a lifetime." Even better? At over 40% off, this is as low as this set ever goes on sale for.

Love ice-cold drinks? This machine will be your main "freeze" this summer and beyond. The high-tech contraption produces irresistibly chewy nugget-style ice (or, "fancy, nibble-friendly" ice, as one reviewer described it). Needless to say, it's a hot-ticket item, and while it dipped a little lower for Black Friday, I'm excited to see it marked down to its best price of 2025.

It can crank out 1.6 pounds per hour, or 38 pounds per day, according to the manufacturer. Plus, it can hold up to 3 pounds of ice at a time. That's a lot of really iced tea. Senior Home Editor Lisa Schweitzer named it the "best nugget ice maker" after comparing a slew of models, and Commerce Editor Saundra Latham, who reviewed it, says, "Most countertop appliances are luxuries, but I've never had one that feels more conspicuously luxurious than the Opal."

Not only am I a fan of Ina Garten's approachable, homey recipes, I also love checking out her gorgeous kitchen and cookware. Some of her go-tos are admittedly out of my price range — Le Creuset, anyone? — but I was pleasantly surprised to discover this super-affordable skillet, a longtime favorite of mine, is also a staple in her kitchen.

Lodge has been in the cast iron business since 1896, so it knows a thing or two about crafting sturdy pieces designed to withstand practically any cooking environment. This skillet is no exception; it can be used on all cooktops, is oven-safe and can even be placed over a grill or open flame. Lodge pans are so durable, people often pass them down to younger generations. I've only had mine for about 10 years, but it works just as well as the day I got it, if not better. Not bad for just 16 bucks!

Another thing I love about this pan? It's made of iron and oil — no PFOAs or PTFEs, which gives me peace of mind about cooking without "forever chemicals." No wonder it's one of 12 pieces of cookware Garten links to on her website.

Speaking of Le Creuset, now is actually a fab time to score one of the brand's iconic Dutch ovens for less; it's down to its best price of 2025 in certain colors. Senior Home Writer Lisa Schweitzer swears by hers, so if you're willing to spend a bit more, she says it's definitely worth the investment.

"I have done just about every cooking task in this pot — boiling, braising, searing and sautéing," she says. "I'm not much of a bread baker, so I've never used it for that, but Le Creuset has many fans who believe it's the best Dutch oven for sourdough bread baking (though that's better done in a 4- to 5-quart round Dutch oven and not the 6.75-quart oval one). I chose the oval style to gain more cooking surface area for searing larger cuts of meat, and I stand by that choice. I can brown six to eight chicken thighs in this baby, so it's perfect for cooking for a crowd!"

Not ready to drop hundreds on a single piece of cookware? This tough-as-nails pot has "Lodged" its way in my heart. There's not much I haven't made in this thing, from pasta dishes and stews to fried doughnuts, and it's all turned out exceptionally. Its 6-quart capacity can fit enough to feed a crowd, and since it's heat-safe up to 500°F, I never have to worry when placing it in the oven. Its slick enamel coating makes cleanup a cinch — never more than a rinse with soap and water, followed by a quick wipe.

At under $100 (hundreds less than a certain French brand), it may have you asking: "Le who?" Plus, it's down to its best price on the web, and on sale in many lovely colors.

Been eyeing one of these? You'd be wise to pounce while you can save $100. At 4.5 quarts, it can hold enough dough to make up to eight dozen cookies at a time (though it won't take up too much room in your kitchen).

This is the brand I use at home, and it comes with a beater, dough hook and whisk attachments for making practically any baked good under the sun. Since it does all of the mixing for you, it'll give your arms a break, and you can let it run while you prep other ingredients — a must when making large batches.

Bigger isn't always better, and this compact crusher is proof. It weighs less than 2 pounds and holds just enough for a single serving. But the coolest part? It's battery-powered, meaning you can whiz up refreshing beverages on the go. Designed to fit in most cupholders, this blitzer can accompany you on road trips, to the gym, the office ... just about anywhere. Toss in your ingredients and blend away en route to work — that'll give you a few more minutes of shut-eye in the morning.

It's only dipped lower than its current price by $5, and not very often.

That said, if you've been tempted to splurge on one of these bulkier bad boys, this all-time-low price drop might be a sign that the time is now. You'll feel like you have your own personal smoothie shop with this best-in-class blender, which boasts a 2.2-horsepower motor.

It'll effortlessly blitz up ice and frozen fruit, though you could also use it for whizzing up sauces or even grinding up meat. From soup to nuts (as in, homemade nut butters), this workhorse will level up your meal prep like no other.

Goldilocks herself would approve of this 6-cup Brita that's not too big, not too small — but just the right size to fit inside the fridge without taking up too much space. It comes with a standard filter that targets benzene, cadmium, mercury, chlorine and asbestos impurities, and will last about two months before needing a replacement (there's even a SmartLight indicator that'll let you know when it's time for a swap!).

At nearly 40% off, it's just two bucks more than its lowest price ever.

An air fryer is just the ticket when you want a hot meal without turning on the oven (aka summertime savior). This compact model — which was purchased more than 30,000 times in the past month alone — heats up quickly and holds up to 20 wings at a time, thanks to its square-shaped basket. Plus, it can be used to dehydrate food, proof bread and even bake desserts.

With this deal, it's just $2 more than its Black Friday price (which was also its all-time low).

The jar-versus-you battle ends here, thanks to this thoughtfully designed contraption. Just stick it under a cabinet via the included adhesive, and its V-shaped gripper will pop those stubborn lids right off — with little effort on your part.

I try to minimize waste in the kitchen as much as possible, which is why this reusable silicone baking mat comes in clutch. Not only does it help keep my parchment paper costs to a minimum, but it protects my sheet trays from caked-on residue.

The nonstick material couldn't be easier to clean, and I find that I can still achieve a nice golden brown on the bottoms of my cookies when I use it. Plus, I don't have to pry the cookies off once they're out of the oven — they can easily be lifted with a spatula. As for dough that needs to be rolled out, you can do it on one of these rather than your counter to make cleanup less of a headache.

The Silpat brand is more expensive than generic liners, but it's the most durable I've tried — you won't have to replace it for a long time. (Actress Jennifer Garner, an enthusiastic baker, is also a fan.) Stock up while it's down to its best price in months.

These wildly popular containers are clearly doing something right if tens of thousands of shoppers have given them a perfect five-star rating. In addition to helping cut down on food waste, these bins allow you to group your food products and beverages by category for a more cohesive, easy-to-navigate fridge.

Juice boxes, veggies, fruits, sauces, dressings — each can have their own designated space. Plus, if something happens to spill, it'll be contained in the bin, which is much easier to clean than an entire sticky fridge shelf. This is the lowest price I've seen, so grab a few sets for your pantry and under your sinks too.

Here's a little tidbit for ya: If you're wondering why your dishwasher smells funky even though you run it on the regular, it's because simply doing a load of dishes isn't enough to deep-clean the machine itself. That's what these bestselling tablets are for; not only do they deodorize, they also help remove residue to make your appliance dazzle.

This is as low as they've been since March, so grab a few packs — each box contains enough to last a year.
