I'm a fashion editor, and these are my top style picks at the Walmart Deals event

Amazon may have upped the ante with four days of Prime deals this year, but Walmart went even further. The retailer's July Deals event is a whopping six days (through Sunday, July 13), with exciting new markdowns unveiled every day. Because Walmart carries a little bit of everything, now's the time to score hot items like AirPods and a top-rated robot vacuum. But don't stop there — there are lots of must-shop styles in the fashion department, too.

As a fashion editor, I'll be the first to admit that Walmart isn't always the first store that comes to mind when I think of cute closet additions. But the more I peruse the selection, the more impressed I am. This cozy funnel-neck pullover looks nearly identical to one from a popular athleisure brand (yes, you know the one I'm talking about!), while this genuine leather Michael Kors purse is down to $60 (that's more than 75% off).

These deals are hot today, but they may be gone tomorrow, so don't wait to shop. I'm sharing more of my favorite Walmart fashion finds to add to your cart below.

Determined to get your steps in this summer? There's no better incentive than a pair of comfy, all-day walking shoes. These Skechers have a memory foam insole for cushioning and support, and the slip-on design means you don't have to bend over to put them on.

More than 10,000 shoppers have given these cushy kicks a perfect five-star rating. "I purchased these shoes for my elderly mom," one doting daughter shared. "She has balance issues and cannot bend over without falling. These are perfect — she steps in and goes. She loves how it fits."

A super soft and cozy sweatshirt for a fraction of the price of the brand that will not be named? Yes, please! This perfect-for-lounging top comes in six colors — everything from black and gray to pastel pink — in sizes XS-4X.

Fans say it's surprisingly flattering. "The scuba knit is soft and comfortable to wear," one customer commented. "It fits well with the banded waistline, giving it a bit of shape and placement on the hip. It looks like an elevated sweatshirt."

Yes, believe it — Walmart really does sell authentic Michael Kors handbags. This one comes in several colors and prints, but I really like this pastel pink hue for the warm summer months.

The chain straps give it a bit of glam, making it perfect for a night out. Plus, there's plenty of room for your keys, wallet, phone, makeup and more.

If you only treat yourself to one new dress this summer, make it one from Walmart. The selection is truly top tier right now, and this eyelet number looks way more expensive than it is. People who've purchased it say it fits well and it's a compliment magnet!

"It fits perfectly and is true to size. It looks very high quality. It's a beautiful color green. I don't like my arms out, so I wear a white cardigan with it and I get lots of compliments. If you're on the fence, buy it! Such a deal for a great dress," one fan commented.

$22 at Walmart

This is an exclusive Walmart deal you don't want to miss. For a limited time only, not only can shoppers snag this head-turning Invicta watch, but it comes with a matching bracelet — and both items are less than $30 this week.

Choose from silver-tone, gold-tone or a mixed metal option.

These neutral slide sandals will look good with everything in your summer wardrobe — and that's no exaggeration. The neutral color complements every shade of the rainbow, and the simple design pairs nicely with pants, shorts, skirts and dresses.

Shoppers say these slides have a bit of padding in the soles to offer comfort, but warn there's very little arch support. "These sandals are really nice, especially for the price. I decided to buy a second pair," said a pleased purchaser.

Linen pants are a summer staple, but so are linen shorts. This pair is a total steal at $10, and the 5-inch inseam means they're not too short. If you're looking for a pop of color, go with the pink shown here. Want to play it safe? Choose from black, beige, navy or olive green.

"I love the light feeling to these," one fan gushed. "The fabric makes wearing them on hot days bearable. The length is perfect to go dressy or just daily. The fit is great with the added comfort of the back having elastic so no belt needed."

As a new Crocs convert, I'm here to tell you the hype is real. The clogs feel utterly fabulous on your feet — they're perfect for padding around the house or running errands. This platform style offers a small height boost and comes in sizes 4-11. There are a handful of colors to choose from, including this pretty pastel blue.

P.S. The non-platform pair is on sale, too.

Every woman should own a classic black one-piece swimsuit. Not only can it be slimming, but a high-cut style like this one also works wonders to lengthen the legs. It has an inner shelf bra with removable cups in the bodice, plus it's machine washable.

If black feels too boring for you, go with one of the other brighter colors — purple, yellow or coral.

$8 at Walmart

While you're shopping for beach attire, don't forget a stylish beach bag. This raffia number is spacious enough to stock flip-flops, a book, a towel and plenty of sunscreen. Shoppers say it's "lightweight" and "secure with a zipper."

And just so we're clear, you can totally carry this beauty beyond the beach. It'll also look cute when you're walking the streets in summer dresses and sandals.
