Hornets' Mark Williams turns heads by trolling Lakers following playoff exit

The big man said no words but made a statement

The Los Angeles Lakers season come to an end Wednesday when they lost Game 5 of their opening-round playoff series to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Rudy Gobert shined with a massive double-double, scoring 27 points and pulling down 24 rebounds in the win.

The Lakers get bounced from the NBA Playoffs for a third straight year and first with Luka Doncic on the roster. When the game was over, Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams took social media to boldy celebrate the T-Wolves win. No words with just a smiling emoji.

The Lakers tried to acquire Williams following the blockbuster deal for Doncic. However, the deal was nixed after Williams' failed physical. The big man would've helped Los Angeles and likely force a few more games.

Despite the lack of size in the post, Lakers coach JJ Redick went small in Game 5, signaling a white flag moment. Gobert did what he wanted to do and it's clear without Anthony Davis, there's a major need for a few bigs in TinselTown.

For now, the Hornets will try to rebuild with Williams in the plans. The one-time castaway improved towards the end of the season and played valuable minutes with LaMelo Ball out.
