Honi Poke, a UK-based poke brand, has acquired Island Poke, adding 18 sites across the UK and Europe to its portfolio.

The deal comprises nine Island Poke locations in London and nine in France, significantly expanding Honi Poke’s geographic reach.

Honi Poke currently operates 24 sites in the UK and three in Cyprus, bringing the combined total to 45 sites across the UK and Europe following the acquisition.

Founded in 2017, Honi Poke emerged from London’s street food scene, which has been driven by authentic poke inspired by the US trend.

The brand is known for its flavour and commitment to sustainability.

Island Poke was established in November 2016 with its first restaurant in London’s Soho. The brand focuses on customisable bowls.

Honi Poke will immediately begin integrating Island Poke’s locations into its network while maintaining operations under the Island Poke brand name.

Honi Poke founder Volodymyr Martynov stated: “This is a landmark moment for Honi Poke. Island Poke has played a huge role in popularising poke across the UK and Europe, and we’re incredibly proud to bring our two brands together.

“Honi Poke has experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years, opening nine new sites last year alone, and with this acquisition we’re projecting annualised revenue of over £20m in the UK alone. Our ambition is clear: to reach 50 sites within the next year.”
