Portland Hearts of Pine midfielder Ollie Wright was named the USL League One Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Wright scored a hat trick in the Hearts of Pine’s 3-1 win over defending league champion Union Omaha on Sunday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.
Wright’s third goal of the game is also a nominee for USL League One Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week.
Portland goalie Hunter Morse was also named the USL League One Team of the Week, while midfielder Michel Poon-Angeron was named to the bench.
Morse had six saves, including four in the second half against Union Omaha. Poon, meanwhile, had an assist on Wright’s second goal.
Portland is back in action at 11 p.m. Saturday against AV Alta FC in Lancanster, California. The Hearts of Pine next game at Fitzpatrick Stadium is at 6:30 p.m. July 2 against AV Alta.
