Barcelona midfielder Gavi’s knee is of concern at the moment and has seen the Spain star ruled out of action for club and country.
The 21-year-old is currently undergoing conservative treatment, but a minor operation to fix the problem has not yet been ruled out.
However, the latest update suggests Gavi is feeling better. According to Jijantes, “The footballer has noticed a slight improvement in recent days. If the progress is favorable, surgery will be avoided; otherwise, an arthroscopy would be chosen, which would keep him sidelined for between five and six weeks.”
The report adds that “The next World Cup does not influence Gavi’s decision in any way, as he wants to be available to Flick as soon as possible.”
Gavi has already spent a long time out due to knee issues and another operation would be a real setback for the midfielder. Let’s hope the progress continues and he’s back out on the pitch soon.
