PSG have parted ways with Gianluigi Donnarumma after a remarkable season where they won their first ever Champions League trophy.
The European champions moved on from the Italian goalkeeper as they signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille this summer and the Frenchman instantly took over Donnarumma spot in their Super Cup win on penalties over Tottenham Hotspur.
Moreover, understanding the changing dynamics at the club, Donnarumma also moved out and joined Manchester City.
The swap was very sudden and even fans were not happy with how PSG and manager Luis Enrique pushed out Donnarumma.
Watching the entire scenario, former PSG star Milan Skriniar also opened up on his sudden exit from the club and feels his situation was similar to what's happening with Donnarumma.
Skriniar after receiving a lot of success at Inter Milan moved to PSG on a free transfer in 2023 and despite being the mainstay in Paris initially, he was phased out due to an injury.

He was loaned out to Fenerbahce in January 2025 and the moved became permanent this summer on Jose Mourinho's recommendation.
What did Milan Skriniar say about his controversial PSG exit?
Skriniar missed four months due to an injury and on his return the team dynamics had already changed at PSG resulting in his loan exit to Turkey.

Therefore, he could relate to Donnarumma's situation at PSG this summer as the Italian got phased out by Enrique.
"When I first arrived, for the first six months, I played all the time," he told Sky. "Gigio and I were the two players who played the most minutes. Then, in the first game in January, in the Super Cup, I injured my ankle. I was out for four months, and when I returned at the end of the season, the coach made this decision during summer prep [to leave him out].
"It was a surprise to me because two weeks before, everything was different and everyone was talking about me differently. Then, from one day to the next, everything changed. But that's football. We saw what happened with Gigio. He's the best goalkeeper in the world and overall at the moment. He helped PSG win the Champions League, and we saw what happened. Both he and I have to look forward."
A lot has changed for Skriniar and Donnarumma at their respective teams as Fenerbahce has sacked Mourinho and the onus will be on the Slovenian to lead the backline whereas Donnarumma will start afresh at Man City hoping to replicate his last season's heroics.
