The Club World Cup continued on Wednesday with games from Groups G and H, which included a absolutely dominant showing from Juventus, a 2-0 win from Manchester City and an impressive showing from the non-European teams despite assumptions that they wouldn't be able to hold their own. Al Hilal's dramatic draw with Real Madrid was a perfect example of that.
Here's a look at Wednesday's action.
Wednesday FIFA Club World Cup results
Manchester City 2, Wydad AC 0
Fil Foden quickly opened the scoring with a goal in the second minute to put the Citizens up in their opening game. While Morocco's Wydad AC contained Manchester City for most of the half, Jérémy Doku doubled the cushion right before the intermission. Despite Erling Haaland and Rodri's entry in the second half, Wydad prevented City from converting their shot attempts with a gritty defensive display. The British side controlled 70% of possession and outshot the opposition, 14-11 (5-2 on target).
Real Madrid 1, Al Hilal 1
A dramatic 99-minute affair ended in a 1-1 draw between Real Madrid and Al Hilal to open Group H in Miami. In a disappointing outing for Los Blancos, the Spanish Giants had the win slip away after Federico Valverde failed to convert a penalty in the dying minutes. Gonzalo Garcia of Real Madrid and Ruben Neves of the Saudi club both found the net in the first half and the score remained through the extended second period. Al Hilal barely edged Real Madrid in possession (45% to 43%), while Real Madrid had 20 attempts on goal compared to Al Hilal's 13.

Salzburg 2, Pachuca 1
Oscar Golukh led Salzburg to a huge win over CF Pachucha on Wednesday afternoon in Cincinnati to jump ahead in the Group H standings. Golukh pulled off one of the best goals of the event so far after he sent one defender sliding the wrong way and then bent it into the corner of the net to give them the early 1-0 lead from 25 yards out. Then, after a delay and an equalizer from Bryan Gonzalez, Karim Onisiwo put Salzburg back out in front with a goal in the 76th minute to seal the deal.
Juventus 5, Al Ain 0
This one was all Juventus to end the night. The Italian club rolled to a five-goal win in a dominant outing against Al Ain in Washington, D.C. Francisco Conceicao scored twice in the blowout win, and Juventus took a 3-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. Al Ain didn't stand much of a chance, and managed just 10 shots on goal compared to the 16 that Juventus put up.

Highlight of the day
This one goes to Oscar Golukh, who scored after sending a defender sliding the wrong way in the first half of Salzburg's win over Pachuca. He then bent the ball in perfectly to the opposite corner from 25 yards out.
