Fans Notice DiJonai Carrington’s Behavior Toward Paige Bueckers at Rangers Game

Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers proved that her talent goes beyond basketball after showing off her star power at the Texas Rangers game.

Alongside her teammates, the 23-year-old confidently threw a smooth first pitch on Wednesday night during the Rangers' matchup against the Kansas City Royals.

Bueckers sported a plain white shirt which she paired with light-washed baggy denim and white Nike Air Force shoes.

Of course, the look would not be complete without her repping the team in the iconic Rangers jersey with her surname and number on the back.

As the crowd erupted in cheers, the Wings players stood behind her, all smiles and full of support.

At one point, several teammates were seen filming the moment, but it was DiJonai Carrington’s gesture that truly caught fans’ attention.

Caught on video, the Wings guard did more than just record the moment, but she cheered wholeheartedly for Bueckers following her impressive pitch.

While fans in the comment section gushed over how talented the former UConn Huskies standout is, they couldn’t help but spot her teammate's sweet gesture.

“Nai recording like a proud mama,” a fan said, while another user echoed a similar thought and added, “Nai recording like a proud mom.”

“That’s my rook! Go, Paige! Love the team all recording with the big smiles, especially Nai like a proud,” a commenter noticed the same.

“DiJonai is really proud Mom,” a user noted.

“Nai in her proud mom vibe,” a follower said. The same goes for a different commenter who said, “Ms. Carrington as a proud baseball mom.”

Bueckers and the fiery veteran have built a strong friendship on and off the court.

In fact, when the 27-year-old WNBA player had a heated moment with Phoenix Mercury’s Satou Sabally last week, the rookie was caught blocking the camera as she shielded Carrington from unwanted attention from the public and media.

However, her action sparked mixed reactions from fans and advised her not to meddle with her teammate’s drama.
