Exciting Chicago Sky Announcement Made on Monday

Despite their struggles this season, there's no denying that the Chicago Sky remain one of the most heavily supported teams across the WNBA. This has a lot to do with All-Star forward Angel Reese, who continues to make waves in the league in her sophomore season.

Young fans are now being given a tremendous opportunity to learn the game with the help of the Sky organization. The team, together with Nike, is holding youth basketball camps this summer to help young hopefuls improve their skills on the court.

The Chicago Sky Foundation announced on Monday via Instagram that registration for the upcoming camps is now open.

As the post indicates, there are currently five co-ed basketball camp schedules available from June through August, which are open for kids aged 7 to 15.

According to the camp's official website, the camp aims to help participants improve their "strength and conditioning, team play skills and fundamentals." The camp will be led by former NBA player Awvee Storey, who also previously served as the Sky's Director of Basketball Strategy and Personnel.

As for Chicago, the team is coming off a big win on Sunday, as they took down the Connecticut Sun, 78-66. It was their first win in four games, and it was thanks in large part to an incredible performance from Reese, who notched her first career triple-double (11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists).

Reese and Co. are back in action on Tuesday in a home game against the Washington Mystics, as the Sky look to improve on their 3-7 record. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET from Wintrust Arena.
