Former Roma and Inter striker Edin Dzeko is returning to Serie A.
The Bosnian landed in Rome earlier today ahead of his proposed transfer switch to Fiorentina—officially ending his two-year stint at Fenerbahce.
He’s scheduled to undergo medical examinations at Villa Stuart on Thursday morning. Upon completion, he’ll travel to Viola Park to officially sign his contract with the club.
The two sides agreed to on a one-year deal with an option for a second year based on the number of appearances. The striker’s salary will be approximately €1.8 million per season.
This will mark Dzeko’s third stint in Italy. He was a key figure for the Giallorossi between 2015 and 2021 and later joined Inter for two seasons, winning four trophies with the Nerazzurri.
