ESPN Predicts Winner of Indiana Fever-Connecticut Sun Game

When the Indiana Fever played the Connecticut Sun a couple of weeks ago, they lost the game 85-83. Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell combined for 30 points, but they had no answer for the Sun's Marina Mabrey who exploded for 26 points.

However, the Fever were without their best player in Caitlin Clark in that contest. The All-Star guard missed five straight games, including the Sun showdown, due to a left quad injury.

Now that Clark is back in the fold, expectations are high that the Fever will get a different result when they meet the Sun once again.

Indiana hosts the Connecticut franchise at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday, and the home team is heavily favored to win following Clark's triumphant return from injury.

According to the ESPN Matchup Predictor, the Fever have an 82% chance of emerging victorious. The Sun, for their part, are at 18%.

On Saturday, the Fever scored 102 points and won over the previously undefeated New York Liberty by 14 points, so it's not surprising that they are expected to get another dub.

Clark recorded a near triple-double of 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in the Liberty clash. She also made seven out of her 14 attempts from 3-point range, helping Indiana tie a franchise record of 17 triples in a single game.

The Sun, meanwhile, are on a two-game skid and even lost to the struggling Chicago Sky on Sunday. They have only two wins so far this season, and things don't look promising for them, with their offensive and defensive ratings both ranked the worst in the WNBA.
