The Indiana Fever retooled heavily in the offseason, with only five players from their 2024 squad returning to the team for the new campaign.
Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Damiris Dantas are the only remaining players from the roster that finished with a 20-20 record and made it to the playoffs last season. Through free agency, trade and the draft, the Fever added players such as DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, Brianna Turner and Makayla Thompson.
With the changes they made, expectations are high that the Fever will be able to improve their record and potentially contend for a title.
ESPN, for its part, sees the Fever making a huge jump in one key area with the offseason additions they have made.

Indiana ranked fifth last season for 3-pointers made per game with 9.2, but according to the sports network, it's possible that they could lead the league in the category in 2025.
"The Fever, who were fifth in 3-pointers per game (9.2) last season, could be first this year with Cunningham and Bonner joining sharpshooters Clark and Mitchell," ESPN wrote on its bold but realistic prediction for Indiana.
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell combined for 5.8 triples per outing for the Fever in 2024. Meanwhile, Sophie Cunningham averaged 1.7 triples with the Phoenix Mercury, while DeWanna Bonner finished with 1.2 per game with the Connecticut Sun.
Other than Clark, Mitchell and Lexie Hull, no other player from the Fever's 2024 roster averaged more than one triple.
With that said, as ESPN predicted, it's definitely possible to see the Fever lead the league in 3-pointers made. The New York Liberty topped the WNBA in the category in 2024 with an average of 10.1 triples every contest.
