Eagles Poised For Tush Push Revenge With Schedule Release

The Tush Push is most likely getting banned, but the Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to exact revenge on the team that pushed for the play to be removed in the first place.

Based on all reports coming from national insiders around the league, the Philadelphia Eagles' use of the Tush Push is about to be banned for good.

While the league nudged a vote on the potential banning of a play into May, Adam Schefter of ESPN has been one insider who has consistently stated his expectation of an eventual removal of the play.

“I think if we go and we parse through what the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters at his post-league meeting press conference, I think it became pretty apparent that he and others want the tush push out of the game," Schefter said.

This whole ordeal started almost immediately after the conclusion of Super Bowl LIX and the Eagles 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Green Bay Packers - the team the Eagles defeated in the Wild Card round of the playoffs - cried foul over the Tush Push and asked for a rule going forward to have the play banned.

Did the Tush Push key the Eagles' 22-10 victory in January? Of course not. But in our view, the league needed a team to take on the rule change and the Packers fit the bill as a sore loser.

But now we have the 2025 NFL schedule leaking, and we know ... Philadelphia will be able to get its revenge on Green Bay this season as well.

Both teams will face off in Lambeau Field in Week 10 of the 2025 season on Monday Night Football. While the Packers will push to get revenge on the Eagles for their wild card loss, Philadelphia has more reason to be miffed.

Our position is that the only true reason why the Packers demanded a Tush Push ban, outside of the league agreeing with them, was the fact that they didn't have the tools to either stop it or replicate the play. It makes their proposal look like nothing more than sour grapes.

And Philadelphia will have a chance to exact revenge on them this season.
