Dolphins predicted to replace Mike McDaniel with legendary 8-time Super Bowl Champion Coach

The Miami Dolphins haven’t had the best couple of years; however, there seems to be a recurring issue behind their struggles. The culture of the team appears lackluster—there seems to be no respect—and it is very apparent.

“Except this isn't a one-year issue with Miami. Set aside the iffy football decisions, like Grier's inability to field a stable offensive line or properly manage high-profile salaries over the course of a nine-year tenure featuring exactly zero playoff victories. Just from a culture perspective, Miami has been the NFL equivalent of an accident -- a controversy, a feud, a drama -- waiting to happen,” CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin wrote.

Coming into the season, head coach Mike McDaniel was on one of the hottest seats in the league. The loss to the Indianapolis Colts was ugly, and both McDaniel and GM Chris Grier could soon be out of jobs.

“And there have been suggestions he is too player-friendly and doesn't hold his guys accountable, which can be troublesome for creating a winning culture. McDaniel feels the support of owner Stephen Ross, but anything can happen once the season starts. If the Dolphins have a horrible season, the head coach and GM Chris Grier's jobs could be in jeopardy,” Bleacher Report’s Damian Parson wrote.

With McDaniel already on the hot seat and this season not looking promising, FS1’s Colin Cowherd made a bold suggestion for the next head coach of the Dolphins. This coach is a legendary NFL figure who is currently making a run at North Carolina.

“What about Belichick? Got a place in Jupiter, doesn't he? Miami loves sex appeal... I don't think Belichick's crazy [in Miami],” Cowherd said.

Belichick in Miami would certainly be something—and it would put him right back in the same division as the Patriots. Belichick and the Patriots organization have been at odds over the last couple of weeks. This opportunity and potential revenge plot could be too good for him to turn down.
