Cowboys' Micah Parsons Says 'Soon' With Cryptic New Musical Message

Is Micah Parsons telling us that he's fired up for training camp ... and an all-time-high contract extension that could go hand-in-hand with that when his Cowboys team is due to report on July 21?

FRISCO - This Dallas Cowboys' offseason, while positive in many aspects, has been dominated by the Micah Parsons contract drama.

And that drama might soon be over - in a good way.

With some details in place, all that needs to be done is for owner Jerry Jones to pick up the phone and call Parsons' agent to get things rolling ... and maybe that's what Parsons is telling us could happen on Tuesday.

Or ...

Maybe Parsons is telling us that he's fired up for training camp ... and an all-time-high contract extension could go hand-in-hand with that when the team reports on July 21.

That has always been the loose deadline in contract talks, and while Parsons has said that he will be in Oxnard, his role is unknown.

But now Parsons is speaking ... through the music.

A recently posted TikTok message shows a photo of Parsons on the practice field.

The music is "I Just Wanna Ball.''

And the caption from the Lion-Backer is "Soon."

OK, so it's a bit cryptic. Still ...

For most, the team waiting on Parsons' extension hasn't seemed wise, with at least $40 million APY being the number, give or take a couple of million.

Or, better, let's go with "give a couple of million."

CowboysCountry.com has offered a clued-in prediction for where this is going.

What we said recently: "It's inevitable and it's almost inarguable. Parsons is going to sign the richest-ever non-QB contract in NFL history."

We were the first to report that Parsons might want a five-year deal in the $200 million range ... with that price tag now possibly rising.

But also rising? Anticipation.

Parsons earned the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year award, and he's been an All-Pro or Pro Bowler every year in the NFL. The coming deal is a virtual no-brainer.

And it, or something, is coming. "Soon."
