The Chicago Sky won their fifth game of the 2025 WNBA season last Sunday, as they took down the Los Angeles Sparks by a score of 92 to 85. Second-year forward Angel Reese led the way for Chicago with 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists.
Reese, a 2024 WNBA All-Star, has put together another strong season in her second professional campaign. She is scoring 12.4 points, a league-high 12.6 rebounds and a team-best 3.8 assists in 2025.
On Sunday, the WNBA announced the full list of All-Stars for the 2025 season, and Reese was the lone Sky player to earn her way onto the team.
This is the second consecutive season that Reese has been the only Chicago player to make the All-Star team. She and her Team WNBA teammates took down Team USA during last year's All-Star game, and Reese scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Before Sunday's contest against the 16-2 Minnesota Lynx, first-year Sky head coach Tyler Marsh reacted to the news that Reese was named to the All-Star team for the second time in as many seasons.
"It's a testament to the work she's put in, but also of the commitment of doing a little bit of everything for us this year," Marsh said. "[It] speaks to her willingness to do anything for the team, her competitive spirit, and obviously her talent and abilities."
Over the last three games, the Sky are 2-1, in large part due to the high production of Reese. She has averaged 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest in the Sky's last three outings.
Sunday's game will tip off at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Target Center in Minneapolis. This will be the first of four matchups between the Sky and Lynx over the next 16 days.
