The Denver Nuggets were at home on Sunday afternoon as they faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of their second-round series.
Denver entered Sunday’s contest looking to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series after they were able to win Game 3 in overtime on Friday night.
Unfortunately for Denver, they were unable to do so as Oklahoma City was able to pick up a crucial victory on the road in Game 4 to tie the series at two games apiece.
While the Nuggets were unable to pick up a victory in Game 4 on Sunday, it was clear that the team was gassed due to the fact that they were coming off an overtime game on Friday, which led to many questioning the NBA's scheduling decision.
One of those that called out the NBA for Sunday's scheduling decision was TNT analyst and former player Charles Barkley.
“I thought what the NBA did (to the Nuggets) was unfair,” Barkley said. “Making them play late Friday night, then an early afternoon... OKC (has more depth) ... I don't think it's fair to blame everything on (Jokic), but he has not played well & I think he's wearing down.”
While Barkley called out the NBA due to what they did to the Nuggets, they also did the same thing to the Thunder, though Oklahoma City does have more depth than Denver does.
Barkley also makes a great point as the NBA elected to schedule Game 4 between the Thunder and Nuggets as the early game on Sunday while Game 4 between the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers was the late game.

Because of this, the Nuggets looked gassed throughout Sunday’s contest, which was partially responsible for their loss.
The Nuggets and Thunder will now have just one day of rest before they square off in Game 5 in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, which could be a factor in who is able to take command of the series.
