Canelo vs. Crawford weigh-in results: Legends on point for megafight

Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford is official.

The boxing superstars both successfully made weight Friday at the official weigh-ins for their clash Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with Alvarez and Crawford both tipping the scales at 167.5 pounds.

Alvarez’s undisputed super middleweight championship status is on the line as he takes on the undefeated Crawford, who makes a considerable jump up after coming in at 154 pounds for his most recent fight against Israil Madrimov in August 2024.

Alvarez (63-2-2) seeks to add to his incredible legacy by becoming the first man to defeat Crawford (41-0). In his most recent fight in May, Alvarez successfully defended his super middleweight championship with a forgettable performance against William Scull. Regardless, that’s six straight wins for Canelo, whose lone losses are to Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol.

Prior to going the distance with Madrimov, Crawford racked up 11 consecutive knockout victories, and also looks to make history by becoming the first fighter to defeat Alvarez inside the distance.
