A Tennessee legend will be the guest picker on ESPN’s College Gameday. Candace Parker was tapped by the network to join the telecast on Saturday morning with the crew set to preview Tennessee-Georgia.
Parker, a two-time national champion at Tennessee, will join Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit on set to pick games on Saturday’s slate.
Tennessee will be looking for its first win against Georgia since 2016, where Josh Dobbs connected on a hail mary to Jauan Jennings to beat the Bulldogs. Kirby Smart has had his way ever since, building his program into a national power. The Volunteers have since closed that talent gap slowly, as evidenced by last year’s game in Athens.
Georgia now brings new starting quarterback Gunner Stockton to town for his first SEC start on the road in a rowdy Neyland Stadium. How he handles that pressure will go a long way in determining the outcome.
College Gameday goes on the air at 9 am ET on ESPN. ABC will have the game coverage at 3:30 p.m. ET.
