There was a lot of hype surrounding Caitlin Clark's season debut on Saturday night as the Indiana Fever hosted Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year responded in true Caitlin Clark fashion, as the 23-year-old led the Fever to a 93-58 blowout win against their biggest rivals.
The statement victory came behind another head-turning performance from Clark, who dropped 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, four blocks and four triples in 21 minutes of action.
In the process, Clark made WNBA history by becoming the fastest player to ever register three career triple-doubles. The former Iowa superstar's latest feat drew all sorts of reactions on social media, including one from San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who thought that it was a "decent start" from Clark.
The Fever guard caught wind of Kittle's shoutout, and she acknowledged the same by sharing the Niners TE's post via her Instagram stories.
Clark did not add any caption to her post, but there's no denying that she appreciates the love from her fellow University of Iowa alum.
As Kittle declared, it was a noteworthy start to the season for Clark, who will be facing a lot of pressure this year. Last season, the All-Star guard led the Fever to their first playoff berth in eight years, but they still suffered a first-round exit.

Clark and Co. will be looking to take the next step in 2025, and there's no denying that they appear to be headed in the right direction after Saturday's big win.
