BYU Opens as Single-Digit Road Favorite over ECU

Week 4 college football odds were released Sunday and BYU opened as a 7.5-point road favorite over ECU, according to FanDuel odds. The line is already down to 6.5 at some places as of this publishing.

BYU is 2-0 on the season after a 69-0 win versus Portland State and 27-3 win over Stanford before the bye week this past weekend. This will be BYU’s first road game of the season and the first road start of Bear Bachmeier’s young career. BYU also hits the road the week after ECU when they play at Colorado in the Big 12 opener.

ECU has been powered by a high-flying passing offense early on and is easily the best offense BYU has played early so far. Through three games, senior QB Katin Houser has thrown for 973 yards, 5 TDs, and 1 interception while completing 71.6% of his passes. ECU’s lone loss was a 24-17 road loss at NC State in the season opener. ECU threw for 383 yards on the Wolfpack, but had just 30 rushing yards and was 1-4 on fourth down. NC State that game had 423 yards of total offense, including 318 through the air.

The game kicks off at 7:30 pm ET on ESPN2.
