Braves are on the worst-timed crazy win streak in MLB

Really? They decided to do this now?

The Atlanta Braves are the hottest team in baseball, and it doesn't matter one bit.

They won again on Monday night, their ninth win in a row.

It's not entirely surprising that this Braves roster can win nine straight games. They were viewed as a playoff contender entering the season.

But then they scuffled along for five months.

So now here they are, on a nine-game win streak and still nine games under .500. They started the streak at 65-83 and are now 74-83.

Between all the high hopes and these moments right now, the Braves were brutal. They got injured. They had slumps. They lost close games and blowouts. Nothing went right.

On the one hand, fans can take solace in the fact that this is still a talented team, one that can hopefully right the ship when next season rolls around.

On the other hand, it feels like a massive "What if?" What if these guys had just played decently for most of the season so this late win streak could've been a surge into the playoffs with momentum?

But whatever the reason, it wasn't meant to be for the Braves in 2025.

They'll head into the offseason with a solid core group and a real hope of being back in the thick of things next season.

Right now, the best they can do is end the season on a 14-game winning streak that wouldn't actually matter at all.
