Borussia Mönchengladbach’s next game could decide Gerardo Seoane’s future

Bild reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach’s next game will be decisive when it comes to the future of head coach Gerardo Seoane.

Gladbach’s next game will be against Bayer Leverkusen next Sunday, and it is said that the game against his former employer will be his ‘final’. If he wins, he could be given more time; however, if Gladbach loses, the Swiss could be sacked.

Speaking to DAZN following the 4-0 loss to Werder Bremen, director of sport Roland Virkus said he would ‘sleep on it’ before making a decision.

The recent stats surrounding die Fohlen do not support a continuation of Seoane as head coach.

Gladbach have been without a win in the Bundesliga in 10 games, with their last win being on the 29th of March against RB Leipzig. Both Holstein Kiel and Bochum have Bundesliga wins more recently than Gladbach – both are now in the 2.Bundesliga.

The absence of Tim Kleindienst has also not helped; Gladbach have now gone over 450 minutes or five Bundesliga games without scoring a goal.

Seoane’s contract at Borussia Park expires next summer.
