Bayern Munich faces Carl Zeiss Jena in its third match of the Frauen-Bundesliga season. The FC Bayern Frauen are off to a flying start, two wins in two games, although they currently sit tied for second in the table on points.
That’s because SC Freiburg — having already played their third, a 6-2 win over Hamburger SV on Friday — have seven points, while TSG Hoffenheim also edge the Bavarians in goal difference (six goals to five).
Bayern will have something to say about all that though, and their opponents this time sit bottom of the table, having finished second-worst last season also.
José Barcala is still figuring out this team in his first season as coach, but the early returns are promising and this should be a chance to run up the score.
The Bavarians won 3-0 over RB Leipzig last time out.
Prediction: Bayern wins, 6-0. Five goals in the first half and then they start to take it easy for a run of fixtures starting on Tuesday.
It’s Bayern time.
