Anthony Martial in talks over Mexico switch

Anthony Martial (29) looks to be on the move once again. As per a report from Marc Mechenoua, the former France international is in talks over a move to Mexico.

Following the expiry of Martial’s contract at Manchester United in the summer of 2024, the Frenchman joined Greek side AEK Athens on a free transfer. He began life in Greece well, netting nine goals in all competitions last season.

However, he now finds himself on the fringes of the set-up. He has not been included in the matchday sqaud in the opening two gameweeks, whilst, after featuring off the bench in AEK Athens’ first UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier back in July, he has not played a single minute since.

Mechenoua understands that the Greek club would like to offload the former AS Monaco forward. There has now been an approach from Mexican club Pumas UNAM. Talks between the Mexican club and Martial are ongoing.
