Angel Reese Sends Message to Fans and Haters After 5 Million News

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese continues to have an up-and-down season this 2025. While she remains a double-double threat — even recently recording her first triple-double — she has largely struggled offensively.

Reese is averaging 11.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this campaign. However, she is shooting just 37.8% from the field and 71.4% from the free throw line, both representing a slight dip from her rookie averages.

It doesn't help that the Sky have also struggled to win games overall, tallying just a 3-8 record in their first 11 outings. All their victories came against bottom teams as well, defeating the Dallas Wings twice and the Connecticut Sun once.

Despite that, Reese has remained unbothered as she focuses on her personal and professional life. Even with the criticisms that come her way, the 23-year-old forward is simply dealing with them positively.

That much is clear from when Reese addressed both her fans and haters on Thursday. After revealing that she reached 5 million followers on Instagram, the Sky All-Star posted a message of appreciation.

"AHHHH Happy 5 MILLY," Reese wrote. "i appreciate all the real fans and real love (even the haters that follow too) i love yall."

For what it's worth, it's not the first time that Angel Reese has turned the negativity she has received into something positive.

When people started criticizing Reese for seemingly always grabbing her own rebounds to increase her stats, with the detractors calling them "mebounds," the former LSU Tigers standout proceeded to file a trademark for the word.

"Whoever came up with the 'mebounds' thing, y’all ate that up," she said in a video on TikTok. "Anything that comes off that board, it's mine."
