Aaron Boone Sends Aaron Judge Message After Yankees’ Loss to Angels

New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge has made a mockery of baseball for the majority of this season, but not in the last two games against the Los Angeles Angels.

Judge went 1-for-3 with two walks in New York's 1-0 loss on Monday before going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's 4-0 defeat. The 33-year-old is still slashing .372/.469/.740 with 26 homers and 60 RBI this season, but his recent stretch is a reminder that he's human.

Judge also went 1-for-12 with a solo homer in the Yankees' road series against the Boston Red Sox over the weekend. New York got swept in three games.

Manager Aaron Boone commented on Judge's current form after Tuesday's game, via SNY.

"It's just the inevitable ebbs and flows of it," he said. "He probably left the zone a little more than he normally does. No one is more capable of getting right back on track than him."

Judge leads baseball in batting average and OPS (1.209), is tied for first in homers, and is second with 60 RBI through 72 games.

Los Angeles would clinch a series win with a victory on Wednesday. Additionally, the club is now one game behind the Texas Rangers for third place in the AL West and two games out of a Wild Card spot.

The Angels will play two more contests at Yankee Stadium before heading home to host the Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, and Washington Nationals. After that, they will hit the road to face the Atlanta Braves and Toronto Blue Jays.
