Liam Rech went 2-for-4 and Dillon Wink drove in a run as the Kalispell A Lakers fell to Lethbridge 14-10 to open the Candian Days Tournament Friday.
Railey de Mateo and Nolan Honess drove in two runs apiece for Lethbridge (4-3), who put up crooked numbers in four of the six innings played.
De Mateo started the scoring with an RBI ground out in the top of the first inning. Lethbridge added two more runs on an error later in the inning.
After four more Lethbridge runs in the second, Kalispell (4-7-1) finally got on the board with a single from Wink to left field that scored Jayce Wheeler. After a run scored on an error, Beau Schultz sent another home in the next at bat with a grounder to third to make it 7-3.
Miles Arrowsmith doubled in the third to cut the lead to 7-4, as Kalispell added another two runs to make it 7-6 after three.
Lethbridge had too much offense on the day though as Honess hit a two-RBI single in the fourth as they extended the lead back to 11-7.
Three more runs in the sixth gave Lethbridge the largest lead of the game at 14-8.
Wheeler went 4 1-3 innings on the mound for Kalispell, striking out two. Arrowsmith and Schultz combined for 1 2-3 in relief.
