On Tuesday, Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George announced that he will resume his show, "Podcast P with Paul George," this summer. During the 2024-25 NBA season, George's show took a hiatus as the star wanted to focus on his first campaign with the Sixers.
Doing his podcast while the season was ongoing isn't new to George. Even when he was with the Los Angeles Clippers, he would release episodes of his show with his friends and co-hosts, Jackie Long and Dallas Rutherford.
However, he was criticized by fans last season. Philly was struggling with their record and injuries to their stars. Even with that, George would post episodes of his podcast. For that reason, he decided to put it on hiatus in February.

This time, it's the offseason, and PG looks to make a comeback in his podcast. He appeared as a guest on the "Pivot Podcast" to make the announcement. George also explained the reason why he didn't want to continue the show during the 2024-25 campaign.
“The reason I took the hiatus was, more so, I wanted to get my body healthy,” George said. “I wasn’t mentally there. In a time of where we were at, the team, me dealing with injuries. I wasn’t in a space of being jolly, happy.”
In his first season with the Sixers, George wanted to make significant contributions. However, his knee injuries didn't get any better, and he was shut down for the rest of the season after taking a hiatus from his podcast.
Without George and his co-star Joel Embiid, Philly struggled to compete and fell to a 24-58 record.
The nine-time All-Star was limited to 41 games and averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists. While his first year in Philly did not go the way he planned it to be, George is optimistic for the 2025-26 campaign.
