76ers Give Update on Paul George on Monday

The Philadelphia 76ers are gearing up for the 2025-26 NBA season. The team is making sure everyone is healthy, especially the Big 3 of Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey. Last season, the star trio struggled to stay healthy and missed plenty of time. Due to their limited time on the floor, they only played 15 games together.

On Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania gave an update on the 76ers. According to the NBA insider, Paul George underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his left knee. Charania confirmed that the veteran star sustained the injury during a recent workout.

He'll use the free time this summer to get his body ready.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George warms up before a game.

However, the 76ers assured the fans that George will begin the rehab process and will be re-evaluated before the start of the upcoming season.

"Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his left knee Monday to treat an injury suffered during a recent workout, a team official tells ESPN. George will now begin a rehab program and be re-evaluated prior to start of training camp," Charania reported.

Last season, George appeared in 41 games, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists. The nine-time All-Star wasn't himself for the majority of the season. Before the start of the campaign, he sustained a hyperextended left knee during a preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Despite the disappointing performance, the 76ers have stayed committed to the star forward. Next season, he's expected to help Embiid and Maxey lead Philly to an NBA title.
