Success for an NFL receiver isn't linear, with some weeks you have a lot of targets, other weeks none, and for young Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman, that is precisely how his first two games of the year have played out.
After a Week 1 performance that saw him total 112 yards and a touchdown from eight receptions, against the New York Jets the following week, Keon only caught three passes for 26 yards as James Cook and the run game were front and center.
So, things aren't always consistent and comfortable in the NFL, and as it turns out, that's just how Keon likes it.
“I know my role pretty well and execute that at my highest level, so I'm pretty comfortable in that sense, but really no comfortability when it come to playing football,” Coleman said. “You can't get comfortable, like there's always something else to do, always somebody else to beat out. There's always more money to get. I mean, catching the ball, scoring, there's always more you can get.”

Coleman emerging as top weapon in Bills offense
While Coleman's talents as a receiver are starting to heat up, especially after Week 1, it was his blocking in the win over the Jets that would please the Bills' coaching staff.
Given that he is a young receiver, sometimes doing the less glamorous things isn't always fun, but for Coleman, that is part of his job, especially against the Jets with Cook rolling to a 132-yard, two-touchdown game.
As Coleman stated, there is always something else to do in the NFL, and no week is the same. In Week 3, it might be his turn again to have eight receptions, or he might have to block for his life if the run game gets going.
Either way, it is clear that whatever the coaching staff asks him to do, Keon's going to do it.
And in doing that, he'll become a critical part of Joe Brady's offense.
