218 Sports announces new 2025 events

BEMIDJI – 218 Sports, a Bemidji-based leader in regional sports programming and tournament coordination, continues to make a powerful impact on the Bemidji community through athletics and economic development.

The inaugural 218 Sports hockey tournaments generated over $286,000 in economic impact for Bemidji. Events planned for 2026 are expected to generate over $2 million in the Bemidji area.

218 Sports announced two new events to go along with the IIHF 2026 World Junior Championship preliminary games at the Sanford Center in Bemidji. The organization will host the Reindeer Run and Kids Dash Nov. 28-29 on Lake Bemidji. It will also host the Paul Bunyan Pickleball Classic Dec. 6-7.
